Purpose of this site
Compile viewpoints on political related issues by those that have them
Why: To provide a platform where both sides of an issue can provide their viewpoints, facts, logic and reasoning behind their viewpoints. We can then look at them side by side and even volley points back and forth to help hone down position details. This is similar to the Fairness Doctrine.
How: We start with a common set of viewpoints:
- An agreement on the DNA of the United States and our civic duties
- An agreement that civil and honest political discussion between people on both sides of an issue is required to formulate the big picture
Issue Focused
- A single issue will be the focus of related viewpoints
- A base video that discusses the issue will be posted on YouTube (mostly)
- The discussion thread will be used to provide viewpoints
Ground Rules
- Viewpoints should be articulated in ones own words
- Links provided should have context and a persons own views or be used to backup a point
- Provide backup to support position / viewpoint
- Linking to your own content or videos to help express a point or provide backup data is encouraged
- Providing links to external sites should include a summary of what will be found and your own thoughts on the subject matter or what facts it backs up
- The process and ground rules for discussions that are detailed here must be followed

Our Civic Duties
As United States Citizens
- This is a baseline viewpoint we should all share
- Our country has protections against becoming corrupt
- It is our job to watch over those we elect to assure they do not become corrupt
Discussion is Required
Among those with opposing views
- This is a baseline viewpoint we should all share
- An honest and healthy discussion with those that have opposing views is the only way to get the complete picture
- There are ground rules when discussing a topic and natural reactions that must not be employed to assure a honest and civil discussion
